Fossil Windup Alarm Clock

My first windup clock I bought on 2024, Aug 4. It's not much, since it's a modern-ish (1990s according to eBay sellers) replica of a 1950s alarm clock, but I still like its mechanical ticks and smooth-ish second hand. I actually like the tactile feeling of winding it up, although the setting knobs for the time and alarm are stiff. This is my 2nd fav clock in the collection, right behind the Rhythm.

Rhythm Small World Lily N

Japanese exclusive model from Rhythm, known as the "スモールワールドリリィN" or Small World Lily N. I mamaged to get this for Christmas 2023 since there was a listing on US Amazon that listed the clock for about $70-80, which is rather affordable. Since it's a Japan exclusive model, it was intended to connect to the Japanese radio time signal, but it can also be set — albiet very slowly — manually via a single time advance button on the back for if the radio waves aren't avaliabe.

The clock plays 6 songs: Valse Coppelia, Dance of the Hours, The Swan, Four Seasons Spring, Tales from the Vienna Woods, and Four Seasons Winter in a crystaline 'sound system' known as Aurora Sound, or Clarion Tone System as it is known in the US. This is my favorite clock in the collection due to its elegant design and music.

Custom Hobby Lobby Clock

This was my first chiming clock that I put together around late November of 2023, when I got back into clocks. The dial was designed by myself, while the chime circuit, clock movement, hands, and wood face were bought from Hobby Lobby. The clock movement's internal switch that triggered the chime was discovered to be defective, and I had to take the movement apart, bend the contacts up towards a gear with a protrusion that clicked the contacts together on the hour, and reassembled it.

The clock, on the 30 minute mark, plays one of 16 melodies shown in the linked video. It uses audio samples of some of my favorite Rhythm clock sound systems: Creative Sound and 32 Chord (to be added to libraryoftime.miraheze.org, my wiki for Rhythm clocks).

Prior to October 2024, on the 30 minute mark, it played the westminster chime, followed by the hour count. The chime shuts off from 10:30 pm, and chimes again at 6:30 am.

Around the end of August 2024, the back of the clock had the components hot glued insted of taped, and it now has a seperator "ring" so it sits on the wall better.

Prior to December 2023, it chimed on the hour, with chime off at 10 PM and back on at 6 AM, but now, it's used to signal the half hour since the Rhythm is what chimes in the hour.

Rabbit Alarm Clock

My sister purchased this clock in a stationery store during our 2019 visit to Vietnam to meet family. It has a cheap "sweep" movement that actually made a gear grinding sound, and tended to eat bateries. Eventually, around 2024, I asked my sister if I could have it. At one point, I decided to take it apart since I didn't care much for that clock. I ended up snapping the wire that connected the copper coil to the rest of circutry, and since I didn't hae any soldering equipment, I decided to mess with the coil by attempting to unspool it and giving up halfway

Vietnam Coconut Wood clock

This was my first clock that I got in 2019, prior to my collection. While visitng family in Vietnam, I visited Ben Tre via boat, and on one of the stops was a stall which sold several souvieners, one of them being a clock. I wanted the clock because I was somewhat interested in clocks then, and I wanted to add something to the display case back home.

It features what I consider to be the most common clock movement in the world, a stepping Young Town 12888 movement. The clock has a crack because at one point my brother knocked it down a bookshelf. The clock dial once featured a "TM" logo or something, but I removed that.
